Perry Maxwell Society (Est. 2019)
Centennial of Perry Maxwell beginning his career as a professional golf course architect in 1919

Mission
The Perry Maxwell Society exists to commemorate the life and work of Perry Maxwell and connect those who appreciate his work.
Vision
Future generations will have knowledge and appreciation for the life and work of Perry Maxwell, a man of faith and designer of golf courses.
Society Formation
In 2019, golf architect Colton Craig recognized that Perry Duke Maxwell deserved to have his legacy memorialized through a society of fellow appreciators. The Perry Maxwell Society cements the man alongside his “golden age” peers for the brilliance of his designs and the faith-based nature of his work. The Society’s existence would not be possible without support from Dora Horn, Mr. Maxwell’s niece, along with contributions from historians Chris Clouser and Ed Oden.
